Review
:
I’ve simply watched the total series in one go and that i want there have been additional episodes. The writing is fabulous – humorous however naive, cruel however touching. As for the forged, there wasn’t one weak link, tho’ the very best praise should head to Jessica Barden (Alyssa) and Alex Lawther (James) for absolutely balanced performances perpetually moving between vulnerability and adult pessimism. If these 2 don’t seem to be appointed for awards there’s no justice. As a show it actually pushed a boundary or 2 however hopefully the title can deter people who won’t appreciate this. Funny, shocking, poignant, gross and viciously honest – each side through with talent, vogue and quality. Perfect TV.
